Meet Sowmya, the Creator Behind Toddlers Love To Cook

The Problem

My son expressed interest in cooking with me. He would always pick a spoon, get a plate and he was always up on his toddler tower. I started thinking of ways to involve him, but as a new mom, I did not know what would be toddler safe recipes. When I searched for recipes, most were geared towards adults, too wordy, hard to follow, and full of irrelevant details. My son easily got frustrated as I tried following those recipes.

The Solution

I decided to change that. I simplified and came up with recipes that worked for us. Toddlers Love to Cook started as a simple notebook initially, which has now evolved into a platform filled with simple, kid-friendly recipes, tips and cooking lessons, that parents and children could enjoy together. No confusion, no fuss, just pure fun.

The Inspiration

Picture this: a mom, her 18-month-old, and a kitchen full of possibilities. That’s exactly where Toddlers Love to Cook started, right in my home, where I was desperately searching for ways to connect with her little one.
You know that feeling when you’re a new parent and everything feels like uncharted territory? That was me. I just wanted to find something – anything! Something that we’d both genuinely enjoy doing together in the kitchen. Not just another activity to check off the list, but real moments of joy and connection.

The Result

Thanks to Toddlers Love to Cook, we turned cooking into an adventure. It’s brought us closer, filled our kitchen with giggles, and given my son a positive relationship with food. We have since made bread, dinners like tacos and grilled tofu and asparagus, desserts, healthy snacks like parfait, apple nachos, fruit rolls, breakfast items like oatmeal, scrambled eggs and pancakes.
