Oven Grilled Asparagus and Tofu

Oven-grilled tofu with a golden, crispy crust and tender asparagus spears—this dish is a showstopper that looks fancy but is surprisingly simple to make! Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet Tofu Firm or Extra Firm
  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
herb and spice mix of choice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon balm
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon honey Optional

Equipment

  • Oven preheated to 400F
  • Baking Sheet
  • Cutting Board
  • Parchment Paper
  • Bowl
  • Knife
  • Measuring Cup or spoons

Method
 

  1. Cut Tofu into big blocks
    1 packet Tofu
  2. Put aside the blocks in a bowl or plate
  3. Put the herbs in a small bowl
    1 teaspoon lemon balm, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon honey
  4. Add olive oil
    1/2 cup olive oil
  5. Add salt
    Salt
  6. Add black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  7. Marinate the tofu by mixing the herbs and oil mix and set aside
  8. Hold an asparagus and bend it—it’ll snap where the tough part ends
    1 bunch Asparagus
  9. Lay a parchment paper on the baking sheet and lay flat
  10. Add the marinated tofu, asparagus and lemon
    1 lemon
  11. Ask an adult to put it in preheated oven
  12. At about 10 minutes, ask an adult to flip everything and bake for another 10 minutes
  13. The food is ready to be enjoyed warm!
